Dr. Murphy received her undergraduate degree in International Studies from American University in Washington, DC, and went on to obtain her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Following this, she completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology with LSU Health Baton Rouge at Woman's Hospital. Dr. Murphy loves all aspects of women's health and is committed to helping patients have a safe pregnancy and delivery. She also has a special interest in gynecologic surgery, abnormal bleeding, and pelvic pain, and has received training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery including hysterectomies, adnexal surgery and procedures for endometriosis. She is dedicated to providing culturally competent care and focusing on the whole patient. For fun, she enjoys reading, exploring New Orleans by bike and on foot and cooking with her husband.
