Biography
Dr. Wharton earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Wharton serves as the vice president of medical affairs and the associate medical director at Ochsner Baptist. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 2002.
