Jade Doucet, FNP-C, practices gastroenterology at Ochsner Health and can diagnose and treat a variety of gastroenterology needs. She is able to perform hemorrhoidal banding and gastrostomy tube exchanges in office. She offers comprehensive care for various gastroenterology medical needs including GERD, peptic ulcer disease, Barrett's esophagus, celiac disease, anemia, abdominal pain, gallbladder disease, pancreatitis, liver disease, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease.

Jade is from Cecilia, Louisiana. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned her bachelor of science in nursing in 2007. She worked as a registered nurse in the emergency department at University Medical Center from 2008 to 2012, and continued as an emergency room registered nurse at Lafayette General Medical Center from 2012 to 2014. She attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and she received her master of science in nursing degree as a family nurse practitioner in 2014. She is licensed through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Jade worked in family practice from 2014 to 2016. She then became employed at Acadiana Gastroenterology Associates in 2016, and trained under eight different gastroenterologists within the practice. She began working at Ochsner University Hospitals and Clinics in 2019 where she continued her training under Dr. Melanie Bienvenu who is her collaborating physician.

Jade has been a member of the American College of Gastroenterology since 2018, and she attends conferences annually to remain updated and educated on guidelines and treatment practices. She is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of their patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
