Dr. James McNally specializes in primary care, internal medicine and palliative care at Ochsner Health. Dr. McNally was born in Crowley, Louisiana, and raised in the small rural community of Topsy, Louisiana. He attended McNeese State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and opened his practice in 2003. He is board-certified in both family medicine and hospice and palliative care. In addition to practicing primary care, he is medical director of a Medication Assisted Treatment program, which is centered around helping patients overcome opioid use disorder. Dr. McNally is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. In his free time, he enjoys running and spending time with family.
