Jamie Thrash, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner specializing in occupational medicine at Ochsner Health. She provides comprehensive occupational health services, including the evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, pre-employment and annual health screenings, workers' compensation evaluations, return-to-work assessments and preventive health services.

Jamie is committed to promoting the health, safety and well-being of employees while partnering with employers to support a healthy workforce. She believes in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care that helps individuals recover safely and return to work with confidence.

Jamie earned her associate degree in nursing from Hinds Community College in Jackson, Mississippi in 2002. She received her Master of Science in nursing degree from University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2013. She completed a post-master's nurse practitioner degree at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2022. She is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and maintains ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in occupational and preventive medicine.

Known for her compassionate approach, Jamie enjoys building relationships with patients and helping them achieve their health and wellness goals while meeting workplace health requirements.

Jamie has been practicing as a nurse practitioner with Ochsner Health since 2025. She also practiced as a registered nurse and nurse administrator at Ochsner from 2003 until 2017.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their five children and extended family. She enjoys motorcycle riding and traveling to new places with her family and friends.
