Joey Williams-Thompson, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner at Ochsner Health. Joey, a Louisiana native, began her career in health care as a nursing assistant. Eventually, she earned a certificate as a practical nurse from Louisiana Technical College in 1996. Joey continued her journey in healthcare earning an associate degree in nursing from Bishop State Community College in Mobile, Alabama, in 2002, a bachelor's degree from Dillard University in New Orleans in 2020, and a master's in nursing from Herzing University in Madison, Wisconsin in 2022. During her career, she has cared for patients across the lifespan and has held several management positions. Joey believes that taking the stairs to achieve her career goals has fueled her passion for community health. She believes every patient has a right to quality health care delivered with dignity and respect no matter their socioeconomic status.
