Joshua Hanna, MD, practices Neurosurgery and NeuroEndovascular Surgery at Ochsner Lafayette General in Lafayette, Louisiana. Dr. Hanna has expertise in brain tumors, peripheral nerve injuries, a wide variety of spinal pathologies and conditions, skull base, open vascular and endovascular neurosurgery, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including brain tumors, pituitary tumors, peripheral nerve injury/compression, spinal deformity & degeneration, as well as brain & spinal vascular disease, aneurysms and malformations.

Dr. Hanna earned his medical degree at the University of Queensland-Ochsner clinical program in Australia in 2016, completed his neurosurgery residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2024. He has completed neurosurgical subspecialty fellowships in Neurointerventional neurosurgery at Ochsner Clinical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2024, skull base neurosurgery at Oregon Health Science University in 2025 and Neuroendovascular neurosurgery at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, in 2026. Dr. Hanna actively participates in Society of Neurointerventional Surgery (SNIS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and is engaged with various biomedical companies to stay updated on medical advancements.

Dr. Hanna is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of their patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since 2026. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, sports and outdoor activities.
