Biography

Dr. Sarmiento is an endocrinolgist and sees patients at Ochsner Specialty Health Center - Raceland. He earned his medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga-Facultad de Medicina, School of Medicine in Bucaramanga, Colombia where he was class valedictorian and graduated cum laude. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital affiliated with Yale School of Medicine in Norwalk, Connecticut. He did an endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He has offices at Ochsner St. Anne in Raceland and Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City.
