Dr. Juan Sarmiento is an endocrinolgist at Ochsner Health. He earned his medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga-Facultad de Medicina, School of Medicine in Bucaramanga, Colombia where he was class valedictorian and graduated cum laude. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital affiliated with Yale School of Medicine in Norwalk, Connecticut. He did an endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Sarmiento is now accepting new patients. He has offices at Ochsner St. Anne in Raceland, Louisiana and Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City, Louisiana.

Dr. Sarmiento took his time with me and explained things so that they were clear to me I appreciate this at my age sometimes I don't get things exactly right but he made sure I did He also took time to explain the medicines to me and the effects they would have and to make sure I would call him if something seriously happened after taking them I left our meeting feeling that he was truly concerned for me and I was in good hands

This Doctor knows what he's doing and what should work for me.
