Kathryn Bycura, MSN, FNP-C, practices gastroenterology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana. She provides comprehensive care for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She also has extensive experience in the management of chronic liver disease and has worked in liver transplantation.Kathryn earned her Master of Science in nursing from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, in 2010. She has been board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2011.Kathryn is committed to addressing the medical needs of her patients while carefully considering their individual concerns and health goals. She is passionate about patient education and believes in empowering patients with the knowledge they need to achieve and maintain their best possible health. She has been practicing at Ochsner Health since 2026.Outside of medicine, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family, trying new recipes, reading and traveling.
