Katie Stonicher, NP, practices internal medicine at Ochsner Health. Katie has been practicing in the medical field since 2010. She was a registered nurse with a critical care certification in the intensive care unit at Lafayette General Medical Center from 2011 to 2018. Katie earned her degree in Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, in 2018. She became certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in 2018. She actively participates in AANP to stay updated on medical advancements. She has been practicing at Ochsner since 2018 with experience in cardiology and vascular neurology. Katie is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients by building a rapport to understand their individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She loves practicing in Acadiana because she grew up here and loves the people and culture of the area.
