Dr. LaSaundra Roberts, PhD., PMHP-BC, specializes in psychiatry at Ochsner Health. She is a doctorally prepared and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with vast experience across inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospital and telehealth settings. She is dedicated to promoting recovery and resilience for individuals living with mental illness by integrating innovative, evidence-based clinical practice with psychosocial rehabilitation. While comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for acute and chronic adult populations are the foundations of her work, emphasis is placed on the holistic assessment of mental and physical health, ongoing monitoring of treatment response and careful adjustment of therapeutic plans to support long-term stability and recovery.

Dr. Roberts earned a Doctor of Philosophy in nursing education and administration from William Carey University, a Master of Science in psychiatric mental health nursing (nurse practitioner) (2009) and a Bachelor of Science in nursing (2007) from the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as an Associate of Science in nursing (2005) and a practical nursing certificate (1996) from Meridian Community College.
