Mackenzie Soderstrum, MD, practices pediatrics at Ochsner Children’s. Dr. Soderstrum has expertise in pediatric care, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including acute and chronic illnesses affecting children, as well as routine, preventative care.


Dr. Soderstrum earned her Bachelor of Arts in Medicine, Health and Society from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2015. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, in 2021. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2024. She is board-certified in pediatrics by The American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Soderstrum actively participates in The American Academy of Pediatrics National and Louisiana Chapter to stay updated on medical advancements. Within the Louisiana Chapter, she serves on the Committee on Governmental Affairs and Committee on Obesity and Nutrition.


Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, traveling and cooking. She spends most of her time with her husband and young daughter, as well as her two dogs. Dr. Soderstrum is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals.
