Biography
Margaret Salib-Barrios, DNP, practices urgent care medicine at Ochsner Health. She received her bachelors of science in nursing degree from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, and doctorate of nursing practice degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Before becoming a family nurse practitioner, she practiced as a registered nurse for five years, with a focus in maternal-newborn nursing. Margaret is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2018. Her expertise is in family medicine. She enjoys seeing pediatric patients and is an advocate for preventive medicine.
