Biography
Dr. AlMajali earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan in 2015 and completed his neurology residency at Saint Louis University, where he served as academic chief resident. He pursued a vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Iowa, one of the nation’s busiest stroke centers, training under Dr. Harold Adams, a pioneer in the field and co-developer of the NIH Stroke Scale and thrombolytic therapy. Dr. AlMajali further advanced his specialization by completing a fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at St. Vincent Medical Center in Ohio under the mentorship of internationally renowned neurointerventionist Dr. Sam Zaidat.
An award winning educator and researcher, Dr. AlMajali has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, accumulating over 1,000 citations, and he is a regular speaker at both national and international conferences. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. AlMajali serves as associate editor for the JAPA Academy Journal and reviews for top journals like Stroke, Frontiers in Neurology, Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery and Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology. He has contributed to several NIH-funded clinical trials.
Dr. AlMajali takes a patient-first approach to stroke care, combining medical and surgical treatments with a strong focus on education and prevention. He aims to create clear, personalized and evidence-based treatment plans for each patient.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. AlMajali enjoys traveling and exploring the diverse culinary scene in the United States, often comparing cities to his hometown of Amman, Jordan. A former CrossFit enthusiast, he maintains a strong interest in fitness and enjoys staying active. He’s also a dedicated coffee aficionado, passionate about the taste and craft of coffee, and he is always on the lookout for new cafés and local roasters to try.
