Mollie G. Butler, LCSW, attained her undergraduate degree in social work, with a minor in psychology, from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, 2013; she acquired her RSW licensure shortly after her graduation. Secondary to her admission to Louisiana State University’s advanced standing program, she earned her graduate degree in social work and, subsequently, her LMSW licensure in 2015; she secured her LCSW licensure in 2019.
Throughout Mrs. Butler’s collegiate tenure, she successfully completed internships at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA, in 2013, and Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, LA, in 2015. Her occupational career is heavily based within psychiatric care; as evidenced by, her experience within the Capital Area Human Services District’s school based therapy program, Serenity Behavioral Health System’s outpatient behavioral health program, Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System’s forensic inpatient program, and RKM Primary Care’s outpatient behavioral health program.
During her internships and occupational career, Mrs. Butler has encountered an expansive spectrum of mental health conditions and acuity levels that extend across all age demographics. She provides treatment for older adolescents and adults through the application of several evidenced based therapeutic modalities with a person-centered framework; such as, cognitive-behavioral therapy and insight-oriented therapy. She has a special interest in depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders as they relate to the older adolescent and adult population.
Mrs. Butler has been board certified by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners since 2013 and has been practicing social work for several years in the Livingston, East & West Feliciana, and Baton Rouge regions. Mrs. Butler eagerly joined the Ochsner Health Systems staff in 2020.
