Biography

Nicholas Algu, MD, is a pediatrician at Ochsner Children’s in Metairie, Louisiana. He specializes in pediatric care, ranging from sick visits, well-child exams, immunizations, ear infections, sore throats, stomach viruses and more.

Born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Dr. Algu attended Tulane University in New Orleans for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Algu completed his internship and residency through LSU Health Sciences Center at Manning Family Children’s in New Orleans. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is passionate about keeping kids of all ages healthy.

When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Algu enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cooking, anything sports related and exploring new restaurants.
