Rhina Ortiz graduated from the Louisiana State University in conjunction with the University of New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in medical technology. She is a licensed clinical laboratory scientist with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Rhina’s laboratory experience includes blood banking, chemistry, and hematology. As part of the BMT program at Ochsner, Rhina was an integral part in the inception of the cellular therapy processing lab. She later transitioned into the clinical side as a quality and data coordinator and eventually becoming a transplant coordinator. Rhina is passionate about working with her patients, quality processes, and special professional projects.
