Shawn Miller Joseph, MSN/FNP-CM, practices internal medicine at Ochsner Health. She offers comprehensive care for various medical needs, including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, heart disease and obesity. She has a special interest in treating and caring for adults with diabetes.

Shawn is a graduate of Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans, where she received her associate of science in nursing in 2008. In 2017, she completed her bachelor's in nursing at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She later received her master's in family nurse practitioner at Simmons University in Boston in 2021. Shawn is licensed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners to stay updated on medical advancements.

Shawn is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. She has been practicing at Ochsner since 2024. Shawn enjoys researching diabetes, educating patients and families on health, and tutoring nursing students. Outside of medicine, she spends her free time exercising and traveling with family.
