Biography
Sierra earned her Master of Science in physician assistant studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Her clinical training includes rotations at respected institutions such as Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, where she gained advanced experience in internal medicine and interdisciplinary care. Sierra has also be a part of research including case studies and led a public health initiative on negative effects of alcohol abuse among military personnel at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology, with a minor in child development and family studies, at West Virginia University School of Medicine. During her time there, she also participated in a service-learning study abroad program in Santarém, Brazil, where she worked with rural communities along the Amazon and Tapajos rivers. A West Virginia native, Sierra enjoys hiking, kayaking and spending time with her family and their two dogs.
