Dr. Sunni Primeaux is a Louisiana native who completed her undergraduate training at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship as well as her post-doctoral fellowship at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Primeaux serves as a coordinator for the BEBP Clinic (Brief Evidence-Based Psychotherapy), which specializes in offering short-term manualized treatments. Dr. Primeaux provides individual and group therapy for adults relating to stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain and other medical-related issues. She primarily works within CBT and acceptance-based frameworks, which center on creating a values-driven, meaningful life. Additionally, she serves as a supervisor and as a member of the training committee for the Ochsner Psychology Doctoral Internship program. She also offers non-forensic psychological evaluations including pre-surgical assessments and adult ADHD assessments.
