Tanya Holmes, AGACNP-BC, WCC, DWC, practices inpatient wound care at Ochsner Health. Tanya has certifications in both skin and wound management as well as diabetic wound care. She specializes in acute inpatient wound management with an expertise in diabetic foot ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, venous and arterial ulcers, malignant wounds, burns, traumatic wounds and pressure injuries. She also provides selective debridement of wounds and advanced treatments such as negative pressure therapy.

Tanya earned her adult gerontological acute care nurse practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama in 2024 after obtaining her Bachelor of Science in nursing and Masters of Science in nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is board-certified as an AGACNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Tanya is an active participant in the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American Foot Care Nurses Association, where she stays updated on medical advancements in her field.

Tanya provides holistic, patient focused care utilizing the most current research and treatments. She has a passion for patient education and preventative care, focusing on building long-term relationships with patients and their families. She is an Acadiana native and has been with Ochsner since 2019, with nearly 13 years of experience in wound care. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking and working on home improvement projects.
