Biography
Dr. Tina Monlezun specializes in family medicine at Ochsner Health Center - Lake Arthur in Lake Arthur, LA.
Tina became a licensed practical nurse in 1982. Her education includes:
- Associate Degree in Nursing, LSU-Eunice
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, McNeese University
- Masters in Science in Nursing for High-Risk Home Health, University of Louisiana
- Post Masters Community-Based Degree for Family Nurse Practice, McNeese State University
- Internship in Endocrinology and Pediatrics
- Doctorate in Nursing Family Practice, University of Tennessee Health Science Center Memphis
After completing her Family Nurse Practice certification with American Nurses Credentialing Center, Tina worked in the emergency department at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, rural health and community health clinics before opening Lake Arthur Health Clinic, LLC in 2001. She was designated as a Diplomat in Comprehensive Care in 2010 as a DNP graduate who is exam-certified in advanced clinical competency by The Council for the Advancement of Comprehensive Care and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Monlezun has more than 20 years of experience as a family nurse practitioner in ambulatory care in rural health settings and considers her patients a part of her family. She carefully considers each patient's individual needs and strengths as they work to mutually develop health plans.
Tina resides in Lake Arthur with her husband and has three adult children. She remains active with her family, church and community in her spare time.
