Dr. Victoria McHenry was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. After graduating from Louise S. McGehee school, she obtained her bachelor of science from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at New Orleans, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. McHenry completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Her performance was recognized by the maternal fetal medicine department for excellence in leadership and scholastic achievement, and by the obstetric emergency department for her dedication to patient care. She is passionate about medical education and received the highest score on the annual OBGYN resident exam for several consecutive years. In her final year of training she was elected to serve as administrative chief resident.
Dr. McHenry provides compassionate and individualized care to every patient. She values diversity and is an advocate for eliminating disparities in the provision of health services for women. Her research interests have focused on prenatal care and practices that improve obstetric outcomes in minority populations. Her practice welcomes those of all ages with general obstetric and gynecologic needs, including preventative care and minimally invasive surgery.
