Biography

Dan Lynch, DO, practices addiction medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Lynch specializes in outpatient addiction services, providing medication-based treatments to adults (18+ years old), addressing a variety of substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and physical dependency due to long term opioid therapy. Additionally, Dr. Lynch also has expertise in the evaluation and management of various musculoskeletal complaints and the use osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).

Dr. Lynch earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 2015. He was board-certified in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in 2019. In 2022 he received additional certification in addiction medicine through the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists. He completed his residency in neuromusculoskeletal medicine at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO in 2019. Dr. Lynch actively participates in the American Society for Addiction Medicine, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Academy of Osteopathic Addiction Medicine to stay updated on medical advancements.

Dr. Lynch is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, playing cello, working in the yard and spending time with his family.
