William Russell, MD, specializes in radiation oncology at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Russell is double-board certified in internal medicine and radiation oncology. He currently has interests in prostate brachytherapy and conformal treatment planning for breast, lung, prostate, head and neck and gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Russell served six years in the U.S. Army and 16 years in the U.S. Air Force. He taught internal medicine at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center and was a principle investigator steering committee member of the Landmark AFCAPS TEXcaps trial of coronary disease prevention.
