Ochsner Medical Complex – River Parishes

My husband had an ER visit on 11/12 due to a knee injury. We had a great experience from start to finish. The security guard saw my Husband limping out of his truck and came get him in a wheelchair. Check in was super fast and everyone was friendly. Dr. Tucker was excellent.. he was very thorough and took his time explaining diagnosis/medications. He even took time to measure crutches for my husband. The place is very clean and secure. We were very pleased with his experience here.

Receptionist could be a little more friendly considering it’s the first face/person you speak to once entering. Went for labs, stood in line behind two other people. She greeted both women in front of me and checked them in, however once my turn, I walked up and offered a smile and told her “good morning” ..she did not bother to look up at me or acknowledge my presence. I stood there for what felt like a minute or two, with no returned response. So I assumed maybe she didn’t hear me, I can be pretty soft spoken, so I tried again. “How are you this morning?” Without greeting me, or looking at me she goes “I will be with you in a second, I am finishing charts.” I could understand if she had started off with ‘Good Morning, give me just a minute and I will be with you’ or directing me to the other receptionist towards the back, but I was completely ignored and it did not start my visit off well. The following series of questions and responses were no more than just tolerant. Despite the slightly less than pleasant entrance, I would like to shout out the Phlebotomist who drew my labs, she had a welcoming attitude, was gentle, and gave clear instructions, even double checking my labs before preforming them. Wish I could have remembered to grab her name.

Went here recently and my care from start to finish was an A-1 experience! Everyone was extremely sweet, polite, and caring. All the components you need to help you remain calm, were present. I recommend going here for excellent service and care.

My PA , Courtney ,was one of the best nurses I’ve ever had. I’ve been in and out of many ERs due to chronic illness and no one will ever compare to Courtney. She was so kind, thoughtful, thourough, caring ,patient, and she made sure I was comfortable and felt better before I was discharged. I truly don’t think there is another PA around as good as Courtney is . Can’t say enough good things about her and about the treatment I received here ! Also the triage nurse whom I can’t remember her name unfortunately, was also the best !!!!! Arianna maybe? I went around noon October 27th, please give these women their praises they deserve Ochsner! You don’t have many of them! Start treating the ones you have right when you receive feedbacks like this!!! As a former Ocshner employee,They need to hear it from YALL! Thank you

the ladies are courteous and really know their job behind the scenes with the doctors and the triage nurses have good personalities and we'll talk and discuss with you whatever you want to talk about this is an awesome place to go as far as the times that I've been there

Front desk lady

Had taken my husband to ER in Luling for severe abdominal pain. Had to bring my husband to Ochsner ER in LaPlace, La because he was still having severe abdominal pain.They couldn't believe the doctor at Luling ER didn't catch what was wrong with my husband especially after doing the same test. Everyone here was great and kept us informed on what was going on. Thank you all for excellent care. He had to be transported to Tulane in New Orleans by ambulance to have emergency surgery.

The staff here are very knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. I was scared about what was going on and they made sure that I was cared for and they acted or seemed very concerned about my care. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Staff is courteous, kind and attentive. Doctor Nelson is awesome.

I feel comfortable with the Dr's at Ochsner Hospital as well as the Clinics. They have always been through when caring for me and they always follow up making sure that my after visit home care is carried on. Thanks Ochsner!

Always clean. Never have to wait a long time. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable

The staff members are very friendly and courteous. The facility is very clean. I was impressed seeing the presence of a security guard on the premises. I LOVE the fact that the wait time for medical testing is brief. My only concern is that the temperature is super cold in the facility. I appreciate having this medical facility in our community especially due to the fact that we don’t have a fully operational hospital nearby.
