- American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation in 2026. CoC accreditation is granted to institutions committed to providing high-quality cancer care by demonstrating compliance with CoC standards. The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center previously received this accreditation.
- American Society of Clinical Oncology Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) accreditation in 2025. This three-year accreditation certifies that Ochsner’s oncology practices meet the highest quality standards for cancer care, along with each of the initiative’s evidenced-based core standards in chemotherapy treatment and patient care. The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center previously received this accreditation.
- American College of Radiology (ACR) Radiation Oncology Practice accreditation in 2023. This three-year certification guarantees the cancer center meets specific practice guidelines for radiation oncology, staff qualifications and training, high-level equipment standards and quality improvement programs. The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center previously received this accreditation.
- Recognition as the first and only listed sarcoma treatment center in Louisiana by the Sarcoma Foundation of America and the Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration.
