Benefits over traditional “open” sinus surgery include:

    • Less pain
    • Less risk of infection
    • Less blood loss

Balloon Dilation of the Eustachian Tubes

When the valve of your Eustachian tube (ET) fails to open or close properly, this can lead to clogged ears, muffled hearing, ear fullness, tinnitus, vertigo, and other conditions. Ochsner doctors were among the first in the nation to offer balloon dilation of the Eustachian tubes, a new, minimally invasive treatment which involves using a small balloon inside the nose to dilate the Eustachian tube.
