Biography

Dominique Williams, MD, practices cardiology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Williams has expertise in cardiovascular disease in women and echocardiography, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including cardiovascular care during pregnancy, during postpartum and in aging women. Dr. Williams earned her degree in medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, in 2012. She is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2019. She completed her cardiology fellowship with specialized training in cardiovascular disease in pregnancy at Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2019. Dr. Williams actively participates in American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and the American Society of Echocardiography to stay updated on medical advancements. She serves on committees dedicated to fostering research to reduce maternal mortality, morbidity and health care disparities. Dr. Williams is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. She has been practicing at Ochsner since 2025. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
