Namir Khandker, MD, practices neurocritical care medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Khandker received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Following this he completed his internship and residency in neurology at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his fellowship in neurocritical care at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and additional training in neurophysiology and critical care monitoring at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Ochsner Clinic Foundation. _x000D_Dr. Khandker is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in neurology, the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties in neurocritical care, and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology in advanced central clinical neurophysiology with added competency in critical care monitoring. Dr. Khandker has been on staff at Ochsner since 2018 and practicing medicine since 2012. Dr. Khandkers expertise is in management of critically ill patients with multiorgan failure with a focus on neurologic disease including complicated stroke, seizure, neuromuscular weakness, infections and inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system.
