Ochsner Children's Hospital

For the seventh year in a row, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Ochsner Children's Hospital among the Top 50 Children’s Hospitals in the country–the only children's hospital in Louisiana to achieve this honor. This year, Ochsner Children's Hospital ranked in cardiology and heart surgery and orthopedics by the U.S. News & World Report, which makes us the only hospital for kids in Louisiana to rank in two specialties in one year.

The U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals rankings rely on clinical data and on an annual survey of pediatric specialists. The rankings methodology factors in patient outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, as well as available clinical resources and compliance with best practices.

Ochsner Children's Hospital has one of the most comprehensive pediatric programs from Houston, Texas to Atlanta, GA.

Ochsner Children's Hospital has offered exceptional pediatric care for 80 years. Ochsner offers the only pediatric heart and liver transplant program in the state, serving over 76,000 children every year with 150 physicians specializing in more than 30 pediatric specialties and sub-specialties. Ochsner Children’s Hospital flagship facility is located in New Orleans, with subspecialty clinics across Louisiana and in Mississippi.

U.S. News & World Report named Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans (OMC), including its Baptist and West Bank campuses, the Best Hospital in Louisiana for the 12th consecutive year. As part of the annual review, Ochsner and its partners also received more than 50 additional accolades by U.S. News, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice.

Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialty ranked in the nation’s top 50 (#42) and three specialties ranked in the nation’s top 10 percent: gastroenterology & GI surgery, pulmonology & lung surgery and neurology & neurosurgery.

OMC has distinguished "High Performing" ranking in the following procedures and conditions:  aortic valve surgery, colon cancer surgery, COPD, diabetes, heart failure, heart attack, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, lung cancer surgery, pneumonia, prostate cancer surgery, stroke, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma surgery.

Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center

Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center (OLGMC), inclusive of Ochsner Lafayette General Surgical Hospital, Ochsner Lafayette General Orthopedic Hospital and Ochsner Cancer Center of Acadiana, ranked as the best hospital in Southwestern Louisiana. OLGMC’s recognition is a first for the hospital and comes three years after joining Ochsner Health in 2020.
