Aastha Garg, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. She is a board-certified family medicine and obesity physician and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals and families across all stages of life. Her clinical interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness and supporting patients in achieving sustainable health and wellness goals, including weight management.

Dr. Garg earned her medical degree from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, India, and completed her residency in family medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Garg is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Garg is committed to building long-term relationships with her patients and partnering with them to improve overall health and quality of life. Her practice emphasizes individualized care plans that address both medical needs and lifestyle factors. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, dancing, cooking, exploring new places and practicing yoga.
