Adeola Awujoola, MD, specializes in pediatric cardiology at Ochsner Health. He sees patients at Ochsner Medical Complex - The Grove. Dr. Awujoola, MD cares for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart conditions. He evaluates, diagnoses and provides ongoing management and family-centered support for a variety of cardiac conditions.

Dr. Awujoola earned his medical degree from Ladoke Akintola University in Nigeria. He completed his pediatric residency at BronxCare Health System/Mount Sinai in New York and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina. He also holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from East Tennessee State University.

His background includes clinical cardiology, research and quality improvement work focused on improving outcomes for children with heart disease. He has contributed to studies on cardiometabolic risk, congenital heart disease and cardiovascular health in diverse populations. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Section on Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Awujoola enjoys spending time with his family, exploring local parks and outdoor spaces and staying active.
