Biography
Dr. Gimenez earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and completed his integrated plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, training at leading institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then pursued a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Southern California,. There he advanced his expertise in breast reconstruction, including DIEP, PAP and LAP flaps, implant-based and oncoplastic techniques and neurotization to restore sensation. He also specializes in innovative lymphedema treatments, including lymphovenous bypass, lymph node transfer and liposuction.
Offering the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Gimenez is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care. He listens closely, guides thoughtfully, and strives to deliver natural results tailored to each individual’s goals.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Gimenez contributes to research and education, mentoring trainees and presenting internationally. Outside of medicine, he values time with family, traveling, cooking, exploring New Orleans’ restaurants, fly fishing and hiking.
