Dr. Alexis Liberto practices pediatric psychology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Hawai'i Pacific University and her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Liberto is currently licensed in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi as a clinical psychologist. As a pediatric health psychologist, she specializes in assisting Ochsner's pediatric solid organ transplant teams (heart and liver). She helps children and their families adapt to the changes that can arise when diagnosed with a chronic medical condition or undergo organ transplantation. Dr. Liberto also assists with psychology consultations following primary care visits with the pediatric teams at Destrehan and River Ridge offices. Dr. Liberto is a proponent of evidence-based treatment modalities, valuing the use of strength-based approaches in therapy to modify behavior over time. As a woman of color, Dr. Liberto is passionate about expanding access and services to underserved communities and helping families feel confident in effectively managing their healthcare.
