Allie Williams, MD, specializes in psychiatry at Ochsner Health. Dr. Williams earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She joined Ochsner Health in 2025. She specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, while also incorporating non-medication strategies to support each patient’s overall wellbeing.

Dr. Williams provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychosis, trauma-related disorders and substance use disorders. Dr. Williams believes that effective mental health care often involves more than medication alone, and she works collaboratively with patients to explore treatment options that align with their goals and preferences.

Dr. Williams is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and empowering patients to seek support without shame or judgment. She is now seeing patients at Ochsner Health and is accepting new patients and referrals for psychiatric care.

Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Williams is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative space for her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Dr. Matthew Williams, their two young sons, and their energetic German Shorthaired Pointer named Grouper.
