Biography
He offers comprehensive care for various medical needs, including lung cancer diagnosis, management of lung nodules and masses, staging of lung cancer, pleural pathology including pleural effusion and other pleural disease, as well as diagnosis and treatment of COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease and other pulmonary pathologies.
Dr. Khan obtained his medical degree from the prestigious Aga Khan University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. He became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2018. He completed an additional year serving as chief resident of the internal medicine residency program. Dr. Khan then completed a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care medicine from the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate, and he served as the chief fellow of the program in his final year. After completion of that fellowship, he then completed an advanced fellowship in interventional pulmonology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Khan actively participates in ongoing medical research, serves as a reviewer for academic journals, and chairs the American Thoracic Society's procedural skills pod (part of the section of medical education).
