Blakeney McKnight, PA-C, specializes in diabetes management at Ochsner Health. Blakeney's passion for helping others drove her to pursue a career as a physician assistant. She is committed to establishing meaningful relationships with patients with diabetes so as to ensure the best quality care. She attended the University of South Alabama for her undergraduate education and received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Louisiana State University Health Science Center - New Orleans. She is currently certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management.

Blakeney's special interests within diabetes management include diabetes technology, insulin pump therapy, and diabetes in pregnancy. Blakeney believes that continued communication between patient and provider is the key to quality healthcare and patient autonomy. She strives to interact with patients in a way that she would want her family and herself to be treated.
