Dr. Bose Cheeran joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South in 2012 as an interventional cardiologist in New Iberia. -Dr. Cheeran earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Thrissur Medical College in Kerala, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and also studied at Maimonides Medical Center, where he completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships. -Dr. Cheeran is board certified in cardiology, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear medicine and interventional cardiology. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation. -Additionally, Dr. Cheeran is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association. He was also named the Best Fellow of the Year by the Department of Medicine at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
