Biography

Charles Matthews, MD, practices radiology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Matthews is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology with over 40 years experience practicing with Ochsner Medical Foundation. He completed additional training in Radiologic Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C., and a fellowship in ultrasound and computed tomography with Ochsner Medical Foundation. His clinical work is focused on chest radiology and includes general radiology. Dr. Matthews is engaged in research and education and has several publications and presentations from his research activities. He is actively involved with Ochsner's postgraduate educational program and is a past recipient of the Outstanding Physician and Teacher of the Year awards from the Department of Radiology. Dr. Matthews works part time on a limited schedule.
