Dr. Akunne, both medically and surgically, manages all ailments of the lower extremity for the pediatric, adult, and geriatric populous. Dr. Akunne particularly specializes in sports medicine and complex reconstruction of chronic foot and ankle deformities. Aside from pedal and ankle reconstruction of the lower extremity, Dr. Akunne is adept in wound care and limb salvage for the diabetic, vasculopathic and neuropathic populous. Dr. Akunne is board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and uses every armamentarium to provide above the standard quality of care for his patients.

Dr Akunne is hands down the best. He doesn’t just listen. He hears what you have to say and makes you feel that he genuinely cares. If you need Podiatry Surgery, I recommend Dr Chima Akunne!!

Dr. Akunne has listen when I have told him about issues. Two surgeries later and he will still answer me personally in MyChart and listen to everything I am telling him

Best podiatrist in Baton Rouge.

My visit was awesome. I came in with some pain on my left foot by my baby toe. Dr. Akunne gave me a Corazon shot and he spoke with me about, if the pain comes back, I would have to do a procedure of shaving my bone on my baby toe. I understood. My overall visit was awesome. Thanks Dr. Akunne

Dr Akunne was so very personable. He explained exactly what my foot problem was and prescribed what he felt would help. I hardly had time to sit before I was called back and I had to get X-rays on my way out. And, again I didn’t have to wait. Dr Akunne sent me the X-ray and the findings on My Chart within a couple of hours. I’ve never had this kind of treatment anywhere!
