Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal provides primary care and specialty services, all in one convenient location. Located on the campus of Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge at Interstate 12 and O’Neal Lane in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the health center is easy to find. Once on campus, it’s the first building on the left.

Whether you visit a specialist, urgent care or emergency room anywhere across the Gulf South, your complete medical history is available to your care team. This helps ensure seamless and coordinated care.

We’re also making it easier to stay connected through MyOchsner, our secure patient portal. With MyOchsner, you can schedule appointments, message your doctor, request prescription refills, view test results and set up reminders for preventive care, all from your smartphone or computer. You can even link family health records to help you stay informed and involved in your loved ones’ care.

To schedule an appointment, call 225-761-5200 or use MyOchsner for added convenience.

We offer same-day and next-day appointments, as well as virtual visits to fit your needs. For new patients, the first virtual appointment will be at the provider’s discretion. Learn more about the ease and flexibility of virtual visits.

Please plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. For urgent needs, if your doctor is unavailable, Ochsner can help schedule you with another trusted provider.

Ochsner On Call

Unless otherwise directed by your doctor or provider, please call Ochsner On Call, our 24/7 nurse care advice line at 1-800-231-5257, for guidance regarding your symptoms. For emergencies, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Registered nurses at the Ochsner On Call Center can help determine how soon you should be seen and recommend the best care options for your symptoms.

Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal also offers laboratory and imaging services, including mammography services.

Mammography hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: Closed

We want to make receiving your lab results as straightforward and worry-free as possible. If everything looks normal, you’ll receive your results by mail within 10 business days.

If anything requires further attention, your doctor’s office will contact you directly to discuss the next steps. For Pap smear results, please allow about four to six weeks for processing.

Our goal is to keep you informed every step of the way while ensuring your experience remains smooth and stress-free.
 

At Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal, we make refilling your prescriptions simple and hassle-free. Our pharmacy is conveniently located on the first floor in Suite 103 and is ready to serve you.

If you need a prescription refill, call your pharmacy to make the request. If the pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner directly. We kindly ask that your pharmacy submit refill requests to Ochsner at least three to five business days before you run out of medication. This ensures we have enough time to process your request and keep you on track.
