Biography

Christopher "CJ" Tosino, DO, specializes in sports medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Tosino is board-certified in family medicine and fellowship-trained in primary care sports medicine.

Dr. Tosino earned his medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dublin, Ohio. He completed a residency at Dublin Methodist Hospital and a sports medicine fellowship at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. He is a member of American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians and Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Tosino specializes in non-surgical orthopedic care, with expertise in sports-related injuries, running injuries, concussions, fractures and ultrasound-guided procedures, including PRP and trigger point injections. He also offers osteopathic manipulation and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Dr. Tosino brings a patient-centered, active approach to care and is now seeing patients at Ochsner Lafayette General Orthopedic Center. He is accepting new patients and referrals for sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and regenerative treatments.

Originally from Ohio, Dr. Tosino moved to the Acadiana region for the opportunity to serve a community in need of sports medicine care. Outside of work, he enjoys running, cycling, hiking, golfing, enjoying live music and spending time with his fiancée.
