Biography
Dr. Connor G. Policastro is a urologist specializing in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at Ochsner Health.
He attended Syracuse University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with an award for Distinction in Biologic Research. He then attended State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University for medical school. He continued on to complete his residency in urology at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dr. Policastro joined the Department of Urology at Ochsner in 2024, and is interested in all aspects of reconstructive urology. His clinical expertise includes the surgical management of urethral and ureteral strictures, fistulas, male stress urinary incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. His research interests are focused on improving patient outcomes in reconstructive and prosthetic urology. As a member of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS), he stays current with the latest advancements in his field. His approach to patient care is based on understanding each patient's individual concerns and goals.
