Biography

Dr. David Post started practicing psychiatry at Ochsner after 25 years working for the state of Louisiana. Dr. Post worked at East Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson, Louisiana and the Tyler Mental Health Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Dr. Post also served as the medical director of the Capital Area Human Services District and the behavioral health lead during Hurricane Katrina for the Baton Rouge area. Dr. Post is a former president of the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association, a current member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and a member of the clinical faculty at Tulane University and Louisiana State University medical schools. He is also a New Orleans native and a lifelong Saints fan.
