Donavon Lafleur, OD

My first visit with Dr. Lafluer went really well. I love his pleasant attitude, patience, and willingness to listen to my questions/concerns and then educate me about my eye health!

I had a excellent visit with Dr. Donavon Lafleur at the Grove. I arrived 10 minutes early and was called into the office in less than 3 minutes. Allthough, Dr. Lafleur and his Staff made sure I was seen quickly, they were through and did not rush each procedure. The Doctor and Staff answered all my questions about the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I hate having the eye drops for dilation procedure. However, the Doctor and Staff made a dreaded procedure quit pleasant. The entire process was handled with exceptional care with my fear of everything taken into consideration. I would like to take the time to say KUDOS to Doctor Lafleur and his Staff.

Dr. Lafleur is such a pleasant doctor, always coming in and greeting you with a smile. Making sure that he explains everything to you where you can understand.

Dr. Lafleur is very professional, extremely nice person and listens to his patients needs. Dr. Morgan had highly recommended Dr. Lafleur, which is a big compliment for Dr. Lafleur. I had been very satisfied with his services.

My visit was as scheduled, didn’t have to wait. Dr. Lafleure was easy to talk and listen to.

My mother [omitted] has been complaining of vision issues for months. Long story short, I found Dr. Lafleur after researching on Healthgrades. I, myself, needed a thorough eye examination as well. We drove 85+ miles from [omitted]. to come to Ochsner’s , and I can truthfully say, it was well worth it! From the sweet lady who took care of us @ registration, to the wonderful assistants who performed various testing, & were so caring & professional- we were overly impressed! Dr. Lafluer was very nice, performed a very thorough examination and took time to explain everything in detail. Excellent “bedside” manner. Never felt rushed. The concerns I had for my eyes were quickly ruled out. My mom was overly impressed as well. She will have to return in 6 mths for a condition Dr. Lafleur is monitoring. Highly recommend this facility and Dr.!!

Very patient with my difficulty to focus on the eye chart. took time to explain what and why he was checking certain things.

Dr Lafleur and the ophthalmic techs that work are very professional and work very well together! They took very good care of me during my entire time I was being seen! I couldn't have asked for a better eye exam experience!

The experience with Dr Lafleur is a good one but I don’t like the eye drops. I have refused those drops twice but I’m always forced to get them. I always have a bad reaction after getting them and have to take off work for two days following them. I get a headache, light sensitivity, really red and inflamed eyes and all I can do is rest my eyes, take pain meds & stay in the dark for two days…. It’s actually time for another exam and though I do like Dr Lafleur, I’ve been looking for a different OD outside of Ochsner because of those drops that I obviously can not refuse at this clinic.
