Emily Hatfield, PA-C, specializes in occupational health at Ochsner Health. Emily is a board-certified physician assistant with over 15 years of experience. She started her career working at a Level 1 Trauma Center, caring for trauma surgical critical patients, as well as general surgery patients. She then spent the next four years as a physician assistent on Ochsner’s neurosurgical team. Emily has been with the Ochsner Urgent Care and Occupational Health Department since 2019.

In her role in occupational health, Emily conducts pre-employment and periodic physical examinations, performs DOT & USCG exams, evaluates and treats work-related injuries and illnesses, manages return-to-work and fit-for-duty assessments, and collaborates with employers to ensure compliance with regulatory and workplace health standards. She provides comprehensive occupational health services to employees and employers across a variety of industries. Emily is dedicated to promoting workplace safety, preventing injury, and supporting employees' health and well-being.

Outside of clinical practice, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, as well as being an active member of her church, her Mardi Gras dance krewe and the Louisiana Master Gardeners.
