Emily Bennett Cook, LCSW-BACS, is a licensed clinical social worker and board-approved clinical supervisor specializing in palliative medicine at Ochsner Health. Emily provides comprehensive psychosocial support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Working as part of an interdisciplinary palliative care team, she focuses on enhancing quality of life by addressing the emotional, social, and practical needs of patients and their loved ones. Her role includes counseling, resource coordination, advocacy, and bereavement support, as well as education on advance care planning and community resources.



Emily earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2006 and her Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University in 2007. She became a licensed clinical social worker in 2017 and completed a master’s degree in healthcare administration in 2020.
