Dr. Emily Kamen is a surgeon specializing in head and neck cancer treatment at Ochsner Health. Dr. Kamen graduated from medical school and completed her residency training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at New York University - Langone Health. During her training, she gained expertise in diagnosing and managing disorders of the salivary glands, thyroid and parathyroid glands, skin cancer, and various other cancers affecting the head and neck including mouth, tonsil and throat. Following her residency, Dr. Kamen pursued advanced training in surgical oncology of the head and neck at Northwestern University in Chicago. Here, she developed a special focus on the utilization of robotics in cancer surgery, embracing cutting-edge technology to enhance patient outcomes. Dr. Kamen's dedication to patient well-being extends to her proficiency in microvascular and local reconstruction techniques. These skills are vital in restoring function and appearance after surgical interventions for head and neck cancer.
